mouse shorted out
I have a sony VGN-NS150J laptop, and today I received a shock when I touched the mousepad and the mouse stopped working. I've received shocks from it before and nothing has happened, but it seems this time the mouse has shorted out. Oddly enough, whenever I hit the caps lock button on my keyboard the keyboard now stops working until I restart. Any ideas on how to fix this or what caused it?

That alone warrants you to contact Sony.
Shorting can lead to more serious mishaps and Sony should [definitely] be notified. |

I scanned the bases for the best thread for my reply.......
Recently I started having problems with my rollerball mouse so I changed to a laser mouse..... That one worked good for a couple weeks and then started shorting out and when it did,my whole computer locked up.... At first I didnt realise what was doing it but I figured its probably the mouse..... I took my rollarball mouse apart and cleaned inside. BOY WAS IT A ME$$ IN THERE!!! I put it back on and thankfully its working fine ![]() |
