Can't go higher than 640x480
OK I finally figured out how to go on the internet (thanks to those who replied in my other topic) after reformatting. Only problem now is my video/monitor problem. My display only stays as 640x480 with 16 bit colors. I have the CD to install the monitor/video drivers but when it tells me to go to Display - Properties, the Properties is unclickable. I tried to find the drivers online but the number of the monitor on the CD was called Dell E173FP but there weren't any drivers called that on the Dell Website. There were close ones such as Dell E176FPb but since it's not the same, I don't want to risk messing up my monitor or video. What should I do?

when its stuck at 640x480 at 16 colours it usually means the video card drivers are not properly istalled or faulty
dont use the monitor CD get the video card CD and install it if you know your video card download the latest drivers for it |

cHiNgY1788 is entirely right about this, but one thing I would add is that if you click start, run then type dxdiag you should be able to find what graphics card you have, usefull for tracking drivers if you've lost you're CD
