My Mic is fuzzy. Can't tell if it's the Mic or my CPU

How do I tell if it's my microphone or my computer? I record my voice and it seems fine most of the time, but other people can't hear me. It just sounds like im too close to the mic or something. Super fuzzy.

Try a different mic.

And make sure it is not too close or directly in front of your mouth where expelled breath can make it sound fuzzy to others.
