Wish I were a 'puter wiz!

I read lots of tech sites
It's an enjoyable task
People mention tracerts and subnet masks
And I try to soak it all in

MTU settings and broadbrand tweaks
Protocols and registry geeks
I try to learn from them all

I'm very unsuccessful, woe is me
But it's still lots of fun and totally free

My burning question is how they learn it all
but nonetheless, I've heard the call!

PS: This is really how I feel about this stuff, hahahaha! I read all kinds of stuff, 98% of which I have no clue about but it fascinates me!

PSS: Thank God I don't have a poetry call, eh?!

Harrie, most of the people that can answer you extremely quick are the ones that do this For a living. They do it every day, so they know what they are doing....

The others like Junky and Myself, Welllllll, We know enough to be dangerous...

I try to sink in what I see on these boards. Most of it will never take until I actually do it. This will come to you in time, so dont try to take too much in at one time as you WILL get burned out quick... Goodluck and have fun with these critters....

You know Junky, I think it would be better if they took the Microsoft off these things and just started calling them Mopars... Then We'd have a chance at getting some good stuff...

sounds like you guys suffer from "KELLY BUNDY" syndrome the same as me. (head already filled -- any new information forces something out you have already learned).
can't remember how to tie my shoes, ride a bike, work a PEZ despenser and a few other things i learned when i was young.
i have to stop learning new things before i forget things like how to kiss girls. if that happens this computer is going in the trash can !

i blame it on the teachers. if they didn't make me beleive that subjects like history, english lit and algebra could actually be used in real life, then maybe i'd have some extra storage space left in the old brain.

You only can learn so much everyday. I mean you never can spend 24 hours on the computer a day (you gotta raid the fridge once in a while)
