Smile firefox extremely slow to start
when I click on the icon to start firefox it seems to take forever to launch before I can use it. If I downloaded firefox again would I lose all of my bookmarks?

you should not lose your bookmarks but you can play it safe by getting xmarks a firefox addon. It syncs your bookmarks and keeps a copy online.

as far as firefox being slow try disabling your current addons and see if it helps. If it does you should turn them back on one at a time to try to find the one causing the problems
