Can't load Google, Gmail, and Hotmail, among other sites
About a week ago, I began to have a problem with Safari, mainly that it will not load google, gmail, or hotmail, among other sites. I had no problems up until this point and am fairly perplexed as to what could possibly be causing this. If someone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it!

Any new installations?

Have you repaired permissions lately?

Could the site be blocked by some other force? ISP? Work firewall?

There haven't been any new installations that I can think of. I repaired permissions and that didn't help. To the best of my knowledge, I don't use a firewall. When I try to log on to google, gmail, or hotmail, I get a message that says: Safari can't open page because the server stopped responding.

I see this occasionally. Usually simply trying again will load the page.

What OS are you using, Adam?
There were some issue with Safari in OS 10.4.3-.10.4.6

I am using OS X 10.4.7. I wanted to thank you for your help! I don't know what I did, but, as of last night, I no longer encounter problems when trying to load google, gmail, hotmail, and other sites. I don't know what the problem was and I hope that I never have to deal with it again. Thanks for all of your help and take care!
