Unhappy How to Run a Server on a Windows 2000 Machine

Hi,

I'm trying to get a server working on a Windows 2000 machine. I have the server connected via SCSI card and when I boot the Windows 2000 machine the server is seen in BIOS startup screen. My problem is, when the server's BIOS is done, the Windows 2000 machine boots into 2000 and not the servers OS. It isn't a very new server and it is made by Compaq. I'm new at servers and don't really know anything about them, so any help would be apreciated.

Thanks,

David

Is this a server computer or a rackmount server you are trying to boot? When you say you are trying to boot it from a SCSI card what do you mean?

The server I am trying to use is a computer type. I am using Windows 2000 Professional. What I'm trying to say is, I connected the server to a desktop computer running Windows 2000 Professional via a SCSI card. I'm trying to control the server with the SCSI card. I REALLY don't know what I'm doing, so could I be wrong in trying to use a desktop computer to control the server????

Thank You,

David
