comp freezes
about 10 minutes after i start-up my computer runs at snail speed...it runs good up untill then. how can i remedy this i cant run a good virus scan because for one i dont have a good virus scanner and for 2 when i get on to trendmicro.com to get a free scan it takes too long and i cant complete it because my comp freezes....please help

Even a free virus scanner is better than none..try this one. http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_dwnl_free.php

It sounds like you have spyware/adware so I would suggest getting "Adaware" "SpyBot S&D" and fix all that they find. After that get "HijackThis" run it and post the log here.
