Cannot remove program
I downloaded a couple programs that would enable me to capture a still image from a video clip. While I could get the program to work and tried to save it to "my pictures" it only appears there as an icon, I cannot open it.
One of the programs was Video pad, and the other was VLC media player. I don't know whether I downloaded a virus with it although it does not show as one, but I did get a blue screen and windows had to recover shortly after using this. I know this is not the forum to ask about viruses, but when I tried to go to add/remove programs to remove this VLC program, it does not show up on my list of programs. So how can I remove it? Thanks! |

Find the "setup.exe" file for VLC, which should be in the VLC folder in C:\Program File, perhaps a subfolder of "VideoLAN."
Double click that setup.exe file and should open to a screen with an Uninstall button. Click the Uninstall button and it should uninstall VLC. |
