Computer Freezes With Wireless Card
Okay, I really need help here. and any information or ideas would be great before i really have to send this in, because I rather not.
heres the story:
One day my computer was on, i did some stuff around the house or whatever I did, but when i came back it was froze . everything, mouse, keyboard, so i had to manually power down. computer would load up as it got past loading a couple programs, Im guessing now when it started to connect to the internet . it would freeze up. sometimes tho it would make it past that point and freeze up later.. Okay, at first i thought it was memory, so i did various memory tests, they both seem to be fine. Then i talked to the computer manufacturer's tech online about it, they said prob. hard drive ( but later i did a full test (couple hour at leas ttest) no errors were found but they sent me a hard drive put it in. still locked up.. So I figured something else out on my own which i guess didnt take much longer. (All they would do as always is turn it on, if it comes on they think its fine and send it back. theyve done this 6 times to me...always had an issue and im not computer illiterate like many people dont know much about computers technically)..
So i figured it seems to lock up when im on the internet.. well I unhooked the wireless card, but i plugged in a 25 foot ethernet cable directly to my cable box. and VOILA works faster, doesnt lock up.. works fine.. soon as I put the wireless card back in.. it does the freezing up thing.. (sometimes when it doesnt lock up, it just takes me in and out of being conected. randomly.. so i go get a new wireless card, figured it was that. well plugged that one in it does the same thing..
is there anything that couild cause this? a setting, software? different hardware component that anyone can piece together? for me to look at or look into.. I reallly appreciate any help.... thanks!
