Word loses my header - I keep Print Layout
I work from home and I depend on MS Word. I have 2003.
I have noticed that INTERMITTENTLY my Word docs lose their headers. I work as a medical transcriptionist so I am typing docs all day. Sometimes the headers are there but most of the time they disappear which causes me to have to go to View, Header and Footer. I don't understand why this happens. I keep my doc in Print Layout and my headers are set to start on second page. Any advice appreciated. I am beginning to think I need a patch for a bug or something. Thanks, Carol |

ANYBODY? No ideas? I am wasting so much time having to go to View, Header and Footer for each and every document to add the info. UGH

Have you saved the document set up with the headers and footers as a template?
If not, when you open a new document, it's just that...new, blank, nothing in it. If you haven't saved it as a template, instructions for doing that are on this page. |

Thank you, I thought I had. Will recheck it.
