Outlook Express Issues

My mom's e-mail account is having problems. When she trys to send messages it says that she's doesn't have a digital ID, so she won't be able to view it in her sent items folder. However, not only does she need to see her old messages, but she's an extremely below average computer user and needs them to be right there. This is the first time this has happened in about a month of using Outlook Express, so I was wondering how I register a digital ID and what may have caused the problem. Normally I'd just solve the problem myself, but it's 11:30, I have classes tomorrow, and I'm quite sick at the moment, so any help would be appreciated.

You can disable the encryption from Tools>Options>Security

Ow...

Encryption was unchecked, and so was sign messages with digital ID. I checked that, and now when I send a message it says that I do not have a digital ID. It asks me if I want to get one, and when I say yes it directs me to a webpage that could not be found.

Edit: Ok, now it stoped saying that and it's saying the same thing as before, whether digitally sign message and encrypt message is checked or not.

It's version 6.0. (sorry for taking so long to respond. Other, unrelated computer issues.) Any others suggestions?

Is it OE 6.0 SP1, if not update it and that may fix the problem.

When I try to open it, it says I need IE6 Pack 1 to open it. I use firefox, so I wouldn't know where to get the updates or fixes, so where can I get the pack?
