App Data unavailable

Normally when I access C/users/Sylvia the app data file appears. It is not there now. I have had problems with the latest Windows updates.. number 7 of 8 will not load. I wonder if there is a correlation of this? Any suggestions how I can find my App Data file again?

Regards, Sylvia

Click the Start orb, type in:
C:\Users\Sylvia\AppData
and press [Enter].

Smile

Thank you for the input. As typed, it took me right there. I wonder why it is not offered in the normal way and is there anything I can do to make it appear when I go through the normal steps? It used to show normally.

Regards, Sylvia

Click Start > Computer,
If Tools is available on the menu click it. If not press [Alt][T],
Click Folder Options,
Click the View tab,
Under "Hidden files and folders" select the option "Show hidden files, folders and drives",
Click Apply > OK.

That option is already checked.. That is how I usually have it set but it is not there. If I could attach a screen shot, I could show you.

Again, I thank you for your speedy attention!

Hmmm... When I deselect that option here, AppData is hidden. When I then reselect it, it reappears.

I guess the next step would be to use System Restore to roll back Windows to a point in time when your computer was functioning correctly. It allows you to undo system changes without affecting your personal files, such as e-mail, documents, or photos.
