Smile hard drive & hard disk ?? removing back of computer help.

Whats the difference in hard drive & hard disk ?? and what do they look like?

The hard drive stores all your info that you ever entered on your computer is that correct?

Thanks

Hi perplexed. The same as the difference between a monitor and a screen.
They are one and the same. Technically they should be called "Hard disk drives".
The "Hard" part of the name differentiated them from floppy disk drives and Optical disk drives.

Commonly the actual computer box (case, motherboard, CPU, RAM, PSU & drives) is also referred to as the "hard drive", however this is a lazy description.
