4 GB of ram not showing
Hello I have an HP Desktop
HP Pavilion Elite m9340f PC. I'm pretty sure the Ram is installed properly. I HAVE ABOUT 6 GIGABYTES OF RAM! However my computer is being slow and i check in task manager>Perfomance tab and it says i only using 2 gigs of RAM instead OF SIX!! Ohyeah im using Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit HELP THIS COMPUTER COST LOTS OF $$$ ( YES 1,029 IS A LOT!!!!!) Last edited by superbarnie; August 29th, 2009 at 12:05 AM. |

Have you tried removing 1 stick at a time to see if this makes any changes to what you've shown above?? Remove 1, and turn on to boot the computer to see if these numbers change at all.

i would suggest the same as above, try removing one stick at a time, to see if that makes any difference. also, how many sticks are you actually using?
Lastly, do you have an express cards or any memory sticks (usb / sd card etc) with windows ready boost enabled? is this taking up the missing 4gb? Hope this helps Regards, Ravi |
