New Laptop problems! Laptop keeps shutting down!

I am having a phenomenon with my laptop. Every so often, the darn thing just turns off (no shutting down or anything) by itself. As I turn it back on again, scan disk will sometimes find errors or something, and there are a few things that get truncated. I am not sure what this means, but it happens so fast that I can never write down what appears on the screen. I have a funny feeling it is some virus or something, but I am not sure. I have ran ad-aware, and both HouseCall online virus scan and Symantics virus scan and both came back negative. As far as ad aware, there were a few things, but nothing out of the ordinary. And, to make things even wierder, as I am typing this, I had a little notice down below on my task bar saying "error reported", but as I click on it, it just dissapears. Here is my JijackThis results.

I have been told before that the weather bug is some sort of spyware or something, but I kinda like it. Unless this is absolutetly dangerous to my computer, I would like to keep it. Otherwise, what does anyone think??

Thanks,

Scott

Thumbs up same thing happened to me

i seeem to have had the asme problem a while ago,

but first, is there a litle box that pops up and gives a shot count down, then is shuts down? if so you may try making a shortcut on your desktop to turn off the shutdown procedure.

if the control panel if you type shutdown -s your comptuer will shutdown
if you type shutdown -r all shutdown procedures will cease.

if your not having the little box pop up that has a count down, or says something like a rpc precedure error of somethign of that sort ten post it, otherwise let me know if it worked our not.

im not quite sure xactly how to ake this a button for quick access, but you may have to resort to having the command prompt open at all times to type that in.

No, there isn't a window. I have had a lasser worm before, but got rid of that....maybe. But, no, there is no window. It just turns off on it's own.

I am not an expert when it comes to logs but I do not see anything. Someone else will have to give a detail look.

As far as the weatherbug, try uninstalling it and see if the problem stops. Most likely it is not the problem, you can always reinstall it.

Also check your event log. Go to your control panel, click on administrative tools, click on event viewer, check the logs and see if theres any errors.
