Question computer. crashed

i hve hp pavilion dc6-7010. it has 16gb memory on windows 10.
i was loading a game from a CD when the screen went black. i thought the program froze and did ctrl alt delete and it came up and said no apps running. I could do nothing so turned it off with power button which i do not like to do... i can no longer get into the computer. i hve tried to reboot it. nothing. i tried to get into safe mode nothing. it will not let me into safe mode. if i try to do system recovery i will lose some much needed data on my hard drive. how can i get the info off the hard drive. i also hve quite a few programs i downloaded

what can i do to get computer working again

thanks

Wow, sorry to hear about these problems.

Probably the safest way to recover your data is to pull your hard drive(s) and install it as a secondary drive in another computer, or in an enclosure attached to another computer, them copy the data.

May not work but try unplugging the power cord from the computer. Now hold down the power button for 10 sec. Let it sit a bit, plug back in and see what happens.

Hi, you most likely have "fast start" enabled, and the data has failed to load into hiberfil.sys file, so windows is unable to find itself, a startup repair should fix it. If not win 10 makes a reg backup on a 7 day cycle, we can restore this if needed.

Now when you first got your computer did you make a recovery disk? I am betting the answer is no, everyone should do this...

Go to this site and follow the link to download the media creation util from MS, this site tells you how to use it, you do not need to repair your bootloader as this example shows you need to run startup repair, one of the options you will see if you follow the instructions here.

https://www.laptopmag.com/articles/f...ror-windows-10

If startup repair fails post back and we can restore the reg backup, which should get you going.
