My System Takes So Long To Boot-up With Windows Vista

For some reason my system seems to be taking way too long to boot-up when I turn the PC on. I currently have Windows Vista 32 bit Home Premium edition installed. Here are my system specs....
  • HP Pavilion m8330f model
  • AMD Phenom 9500 2.2Ghz quad-core processor
  • 3GB of RAM
  • 640GB HDD (7200rpm)
  • PNY 512MB NVIDIA graphics card
  • 550w power supply
  • 22" HP 2207h monitor (1680x1050 native rez.)

I am always using an anti-spyware and anti-virus program (Super Anti-spyware/AVAST). I always defrag too. I do rmember using some webite that had "safe", "bare bones settings" and something else for Windows. It would recommend what to have enabled and what to have disabled. Do I need to revisit this site? If so, could someone point me to it please? Also, I am a gamer and try to make my system run efficiently for these games (LOTRO especially). Any help would appreciated.

Please let me know if you need any other information from me.

Thanks for your time!

Here's the site you wanted-

HP's do go through a long boot process cause of all the crapware that they bundle with the opersting system. Disable these at startup.
