Can I delete contents of D drive

After win 10 upgrade do i require the d partion on hard drive that held recovery files for previous os, win 8.1 ?

No, however, when installing Windows 10 upgrade it allows you to revert back to Windows 8 within 30 days, after 30 days you cannot revert. If your sure you would not go back to Windows 8, you can delete. Honestly you do not gain that much space and it would be good to keep it just in case.

Also after the 30 days you will see a folder called Windows.old, you can delete it.
