touchpad not working after download

Just downloaded windows 10, no internet at first updated driver sorted that out,but touchpad on my Toshiba satellite l750/ll755 laptop not working, tried updating driver it says I have the latest and says somewhere the device is working properly but it isn't an external mouse works. Any ideas.
Someone suggested removing driver from add/remove programs then rebooting and that sorted it out for them. I,m nevous of doing that in case I end up with no mouse then couldent do anything. Any suggestions?

removing and rebooting might help. it should not mess anything up. you can also go to toshibias website and see if there are win10 touchpad drivers available for your specific model.

Obviously you didn't run the compatibility program to see if it was compatible? I found this link, supposedly has a Touch Pad Win 10 driver.

http://www.driverscape.com/manufactu...50-x5318/56236

It's a ZIP file, once unzipped there should either be a setup or EXE file to install, watch the screen carefully as it might want to install other crap, and usually you can decline each one.

Hope this helps, otherwise you may need to use a USB mouse until Toshiba provides a Win 10 driver.

No Joy

Hi, I went to link and downloaded driver still no touchpad. I tried deleting driver and rebooting still no touchpad. What's in device manager is:
HD-compliant mouse, and Synaptics PS/2 Port Touchpad.
It says I have latest driver and that device is working properly.
Exept it isn't. External mouse works ok.

By chance maybe it is turned off. Some Toshiba's have a tiny button above the touchpad under the space bar that turns off and on????????

Woweee how simple was that! Thanks so much Murf, I never knew about that. It coincided with downloading windows 10 so I assumed that caused it.
I have spent hours on this, thanks again for simple fix.
