win 98 boot trouble?
PC's Keyboard not responding!!
My friend is running win 98 an older Intel 43 VX PCI Set w/ 48mb, she set it up and it says an "Invalid long file name entry" Run scandisk!! but when she tries to hit enter for scan disk to run, no keyboard or mouse? Ive tried to gointo CMOS, when startup, lets me, but once in cant use keyboard to access it? Any Ideas?  Thanks Alot Phuqhed

First you need to find out probs with kbd/mouse. Put kbd on a working machine or a known working kbd on her machine.
You need to get into windows to fix long file names using scandisk. This is like "Catch 22", huh? If you can get kbd working, use the bootmenu to boot to safemode and run scandisk. This is where I would start anyway.
