McAfee webscanx.exe error message: "The memory can not be "read."
I am using Windows 2000.
My McAffee Anti Virus worked well until I think after a Windows Security update although I cannot positively relate the change to this. Now WebScanX.exe gives this error message: __________________________________________________ __________ Webscanx.exe Application Error ______________________________ The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at 0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". Click on OK to terminate the program Click on CANCEL to debug the program ..............[OK]............[Cancel] __________________________________________________ __________ If I click CANCEL I get this debug message in Microsoft Visual C++: __________________________________________________ _________ Microsoft Visual C++ .................................................. ............[x] ( i ) Unhandled exception in WebScans.exe: 0xC0000005: Access Violation ................................................[ OK ] __________________________________________________ _________ What is going on here? Thank you. SS |

Your using an old version of Mcafee VirusScan. You'll have to upgrade.
