sd memory card

I have a 2.0 GB San Disk that has several hundered pics on it and when i put in my card reader and stick in computer it comes up and says the disk not formatted,,do i want to format now,,wont i loose all of my pics if i format the disk?? It will not let me open to see pics or anything,,I cannot loose these pics,,help please!!

Don't format the san disk? I assume you can view the pics on your camera, so the san disk is good? What version of windows are you using? What do you have for a card reader and how old is it?

There are issues reading larger flash card with XP and some card readers. Have you tried reading the pics straight from the camera?
