epson twain drivers

I am new to the forum. I have an epson 2400 photo scanner. For almost a year all was going well. Then mid-stride, I get a twain error message. Looking around the internet this does not seem to be uncommon. However, I cannot find the solution. I have gone through Epson and completed their uninstall/reinstall process without any luck. I ran into an Epson tech who advised that I remove the twain drivers from my folders. Unfortunately, i do now know which drivers they are.

Has anyone else experienced this problem and have a step by step repair process.

Thanks for viewing and any help

not to be ignorant, the link takes me to a 5200 series twain driver. When entering the 2400, I cannot find a specific driver for that scanner. Will the 5200 updates work

I have tried reinstalling the drivers. I have removed the program and reinstalled using their drivers. I continue to get the same twain error message.

Have you tried uninstalling the scanner? And letting windows repick it up?

Right click my computer...Click manage...Device Manger..Right click on the scanner and click uninstall and reboot.. Windows will pick it up again on reboot.

Tried uninstalling and rebooting. Received a twain failure message again. It works fine on my other system just cannot get it to work on this one. Anyone have opinions on a good all in one printer?
