? about authenticity of Windows 7

Right now I am in Iraq and the BX was out of windows 7 so I went to one of the shops on post that sells software/peripherals etc...however these vendors also peddle pirated softwares for much cheaper prices ($5 bucks for windows 7) then I got to thinking. How do I know that my copy is really legit or if its just a better knock-off. I would hope for the $199.00 I dropped it is but before I leave here I want to make sure so I can go get a refund if it's not because the base has leverage over the vendors when it comes to issues like this.

All of my windows updates have went through fine and MBAM and rising scans haven't picked up any oddities. Would OTL or another scan possibly indicate a forgery? I still have my Vista disk to revert back to if needed but would like to ensure I have a legitimate copy. I probably should have just waited and bought it when I got back to a country with a better track record of selling legitimate softwares.

Hi Gunner
You can go to this link and on the left side of the screen there's a place to validate Windows. That should help you to find out whether or not your copy is genuine.

Hoping to get back safe LOL...things here have calmed down quite a bit from the last three times I was here. The Iraqi's have really stepped up taking control of their country
