Seem like u read the incorrect things I have a 2600+ and so do all my computers at my office and never ever had any major crashes with them just the occasional none responding program! seems to be fine for most usages anyway!

That's a new one on me. Never heard that, might need to check your source and email them. I too am running AMD 2400+ on Windows XP Pro. And many of my tech friends use AMD.

well i think it was more about i was reading something on the amd 64 on a site like game tiger n i click on the more info button or info button for the AMd 64 3400+ and it said this-- "The AMD Athlon 64 processor is the first and only Windows-®compatible 64-bit PC processor. The AMD Athlon 64 processor runs on AMD64, a revolutionary technology that allows the processor to run 32-bit applications at full speed while enabling a new generation of powerful 64-bit software applications. Advanced 64-bit operating systems for the AMD64 platform from Microsoft,® Red Hat, SuSE, and TurboLinux have already been announced, and they only run on processors with AMD64 technology. With the introduction of the AMD Athlon 64 processor so i kind of might have gotten wronge info from interpriting wrong or something
