Stuck in a logon loop
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I allowed a Windows Vista update to my HP Pavillion. During the process, a configuration of the update(s) occurs in three stages, then shuts down and restarts the computer. My computer is now stuck in a loop of that process, continually giving me the message: CONFIGURING UPDATES: STAGE 3 OF 3 -0% COMPLETE. DO NOT TURN OFF YOUR COMPUTER. After a while, the computer shuts down and restarts the loop. This went on all night last night. I tried to boot in safe mode. As the list of drivers are being installed, the computer stops at "crcdisk.sys", then goes back into the loop described above. Can anyone help me break out of the loop? |
