Stream media from Server 2003 to Xbox 360
I am looking for a decent program to stream video and audio content from my server running Windows Server 2003 Standard to an Xbox 360. Windows Media Player 11 is what I would normally use, but that will not install on Server 2003. I have just tried TVersity, but that would not work correctly and I gave up on it. So, what programs are out there that will allow my to stream from my server?
P.S. This is an apartment full of cheap people, open source software would be best, free and closed source to problem, pay software....only if it's very good, and very cheap. |

I have seen some things with VNC streaming in the past, even some being controlled by a custom built cell phone interface a few years ago.
But, from looking around, VLC doesn't seem to be what I need, it won't work how we need it to work. I may be setting up a MythTV, Linux based DVR/media center eventually and stream to that instead of the 360....but that's another one of those "eventually" projects that I have |
