What do ya see??

I would like to have each of us describe the view out your living room window. Seeing how we live in different areas, I think that would be interesting. Would that be a virtual tour?

Id'e go first but its dark here, very dark!!

Um... front window.. hmm.

Bushes. Neighbors house. Other neighbors house. Grass. Van parked in the driveway. Other neighbors house. Maple tree. Pine tree. Bushes. Other neighbors house. Neighbors grass. Neighbors cars. Road. Mailboxes. Bushes.

That's about it I think....

Hey,

I see....

A couple of trees that look like palm trees - I'm no botanist

One Tree Hill - which is what it sounds like except the Hill is an extinct volano

Beautiful blue skies - summer is coming

and a swimming pool.

...least that's what I see when I remember our old house here in New Zealand.

This house we're in now really sucks !!!!

lmao@Buzz

Errmm living room window? I'd have to leave my puter to go look so ya got no chance.

Now the bedroom window overlooks Newcastle so i see a big dirty river and a big dirty city and ermmm Gateshead Stadium. Thats about it.

Mishy - Is NZ like Oz where they call places Wooloowologong and stuff like that? Why couldn't they have named Newcastle like that? I wanna live in a place like that.

Nah Sharpy, more like things like:

Waikikamukau
(Pronounce Why Kick a Moo Cow)

or

Eketehuna
(Eck a ta hoon a)

We have Maori place names. Aussies have to suffer the Aboriginal placenames.

Then we've got two neighbouring old towns in the South Island name (believe it or not) Gore and Clinton. They've just renamed the road that joins them the "presidential highway"

btw - when I look out my window, I see my fence. Even at night beacuse there's a streetlight directly outside.

Hey,

Yeah I've been to woolloomooloo in Australia - pronounced woolloomoolloo

and to Wollongong too lol

Geez everytime I saw a bus I was laughing ma head off

My favourite place names in NZ would have to be Whakapapa - pronounced Fock - a - papa

and Mount Cheeseman lol

Yeah nice place names make things a little cheerier. Better than driving to Crewe, or Fife !!!

Still the welsh place names are nice too. I have no chance in hell of being able to say them let alone spell them though hehehe

MiShY

Good Morning Ya'll,
Interesting thread.

Sir Muffen*1, Im well married to an absolute Prince, No frogs livin here. And YES, I am the Queen.

Jolly Roger. Sounds like my neighborhood from where I moved from, perhaps we were neighbors?

Buzz, Now I'm concerened about what YOU see when you look out and where You might be livin although it could be at the city zoo?

Sharpy, Bedroom windows dont count~It must be a living room window. Surely you must leave your puter at sometime to have a look-see??

MiShY.. where would we be without our memories? Sorry you have to live in a sucky place.

Zoo huh? But that wouldn't explain the straight jacket and the fact that I get no visitors.

You have no idea how much practice it takes to type effectively with your tongue!
