Nortons 2k4 Professional

2nd Question of the day:

Has anybody had any problems installing Nortons AntiVirus 2004 Professional on a Windows 2000 Pro Box.

I tried last night, and my pc crashed.

ANyone else come across this?

From what I read about Nortons 2004 software, there are alot of problems in all OS's. You need to be more specific as to the crash. It could mean alot of things.

Were you upgrading from a previous version? If so, completely remove the previous version before installing 2004.

as i am at work now, i cant write the exact error:

All i can is it blue screened then forced me to open up in safe mode.

and yes, I did install Nortons2k4 Pro over the top of 2k3.

To hell with work! That's where I'm stuck at right now too... anyway, trying to install over 2k3 may very well be the cause of the freeze. If possible, try completely removing 2k3 and then reinstall 2004.
