Trying To Use Search Engines

A friend of mine at work, has for the past few weeks, been having problems with search engines, he only told me about this today. Anyway, he goes to Yahoo's search, or Google's search, types in words, clicks go, and an error page appears, he cannot do any searches because of this. He says his favourite links all work fine, and any website he goes straight to are fine, it's just when he tries doing searches. Can anyone help my friend through me, please!!

Search engines.

Before he does anything else have him talk to the I.T./I.S. department and see if they have somehow blocked search results.

Aside from that have him delete everything in the c:\Windows\Temp\ and the c:\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\ folders and then try again.

He uses Comcast, the cable server, the same one that I have, yet I have no problems doing searches, but I will forward your advice about cleaning out the temp' files etc, although I'm not sure how that could affect doing searches!!
