Disable HP laptop touchpad
Hi All
Just got a new HP laptop. On my old Toshiba laptop, I was able to go into Control Panel/Hardware/Mouse and disable the touch pad. Can't do it on this laptop and I've done several web searches and it seems to be an issue. Any help would be appreciated Running: Windows 10 Home (x64) version 1909 build 18363.959 AMD Ryzen 5 3500U let me know if you need any other info |

I've seen that article. Mine has an ELAN touchpad and these instructions don't seem to apply. I've tried everything (that I know of!) the only thing I can see to do is to uninstall the device from device manager. I don't think I really want to do that

Hey Murf....I think I fixed it. Found a post and did a small registry edit, rebooted and the touchpad is disabled (when a plugged in mouse is detected) yay! thanks for your (always) speedy replies. Consider this problem solved!
