I messed up copy paste job
Hi to all,
I am having another one of those what did I do days. I was trying to copy and paste a song to a folder to the dropdown folders on the left side of the screen. Just as I went to click paste the screen jumped and I hit copy by mistake. Now the Shared folder properties show Size 637 GB Size on disk 637 GB 5,134 files 315 folders The My computer properties shows Size 355 bytes Size on disk 4.00 KB When I put the pointer on the desktop icon for Shared folder it shows 45 GB but if I open the folder it shows 637GB When I open the Shared folder or My computer there is a option to undo copy CTRL+Z Does anyone know if that is safe or will I wipe the hard drive clean? |

IF all you did was copy, then copying should not have done anything other than place the file/folder into the clipboard (temporary folder). Unless you done something not mentioned, you can try undo the copying or just reboot the system. It should not do anything harmful and things should be the way they should.

Thanks for your reply, I didn’t do anything other than tried to copy and paste and the screen jumped just as I was about to hit paste and I hit copy instead . I wonder if the properties were like that already and I didn’t know it.
This screen shot shows what it looks like after a reboot and now I don’t get the option to undo copy. I see I can do attachments |

what screenshot :-)
anyway, rebooting would clear the clipboard so there was nothing to undo. Personally, unless someone else sees something, I think there is nothing to worry about and to just try copying the file again and paste it inside the proper folder then move on. |
