Ubuntu Ultimate Edition 2.6 - 10.4 (Lucid)

Does anyone else run UE 2.6?

Info: http://ultimateedition.info/

This has become my OS of choice, and they have a "Gamers Edition" DVD as well.

10.4 so far has been absolutely wonderful, no problems and only a few very minor quirks.

Was wondering if everyone has check out UE.

I just love this:
"The box said 'Required Windows NT/XP or better'. So, I installed LINUX."

NoGeeksPC, I have not used Ubuntu Ultimate Edition (UE). I have heard that there can be some problems with upgrading it since it is not an official Ubuntu release. I do not know if the problems are real or not as I do not use UE myself.

It looks like an interesting project, but flashy effects are not really my thing. Stock Ubuntu + fluxbox/openbox works wonderfully.

NoGeeksPC, Yes I have used Ubuntu Ultimate Edition (UE), up to and including 9.04.
I have never tried upgrading it, because I have always, just downloaded a different distro and over-installed.

I found (UE) good, but much too big. I never used more than about 10% of it.
I did try 'Ubuntu 10.04' and found that it ran sluggishly on my old laptop.

So, I have switched to 'Ubuntu Studio 10.04'.

On my laptop, I find it much faster than the others (and although I still have to install / un-install occasonaly).
It has already been set to work in the direction of music / audio and video editing so, (to me), it is like running near-perfection.
