Please help - my pc just died!!
I got to work on Friday to discover that my pc (Hewlett Packard Pavilion - about 4 years old) just won't turn on. I have been told it may be to do with the power pack? The green light at the back next to the power cable comes on briefly when the cable is plugged in, then fades out again. I have tried with a different cable, and the same thing happens. Everything else (monitor etc) works ok. The whole thing worked fine the day before, so this seems to have happened over night. Does anybody know what might be wrong with it and how I go about fixing it? I'm hoping this won't affect my hard drive and the info on it - I think this is a good lesson in backing up my files!! Any help is much appreciated!!!

Classic case of dead power supply. They are a stock item in any computer store and for today's pc world, I would be buying a minmum 350 watt brand name psu such as Antec, Thermaltake, or Enermax.
