BT Broadband keeps disconnecting
This problem has been only happening lately but I'm stumped on what else to do.
Basically what's been happening all of a sudden is me logging in, browsing for about 5 mins or so then the Internet disconnects and it won't go back on until I log out then back in. I've tried doing a System Restore, I tried giving my Computer a scan for anything malicious, I checked the connections about 20 times and I tried reinstalling the BT Home Hub. I also tried using the USB cable to connect to it instead of Ethernet cable, but it's the same for that. Suggestions? |

Have you contacted your ISP?
It may be a problem at their end. |

Yeah I rang Customer Support and apparently it's all OK there.
The odd part is I can always ping sites when it disconnects but Browsers, IM's etc don't respond. Could the Hub itself be faulty? that's all I can think of. |

Have you tried diabling firewalls/internet security when it happens, just to test.

I tried disabling the Firewall that comes with the BT Software completely, no luck.
I don't even have SP2 installed so there isn't one on there either. (That's another one of my problems, I can't install it) Edit: I apologise for my late reply, by the way |
