Problem with Zonet wifi adapter?

I recently got a Zonet ZEW2500P network adapter. I needed it for my old computer to get a wifi signal.

My old computer is running XP, and it's really slow.. but anyways, I can't get this thing to work. I plugged it in and installed the Ranlink software.. but whenever I click on it, nothing will happen. It won't start. And the little icon on the taskbar tray says "No Ranlink card detected" (or something like that). Am I doing something wrong? I followed the instructions exactly. It's just the software that doesn't want to run. So I'm not exactly sure what to do.. any help?

Also, whenever I try to go on "setup wireless connection" it can't find anything.

Hello MarcuzXD,

Windows XP does have built in settings that will allow you to configure the wireless connection without the utility. If you haven't already, please use the Wireless utility in Windows. If your network adapter is installed, you should be able to do the following steps:

1) Open the Network Connections folder
2) Right-click the Wireless Network Connection icon, then choose Properties.
3) Click the Wireless Setup tab, make sure "Use Windows to configure the wireless network" box is checked. Then you should be able to add your settings from there.

If this doesn't work you may want to refer to the manufacter's website.
