Can i run a laptop hard drive with Xp in place of a desktop hard drive with 2000
I just bought a laptop to desktop harddrive converter. I have a Dell Dimension 4100 desktop and i wanted to use the adapter to put my laptop harddrive (Windows XP) in place of my old harddrive (Windows 2000). What do i need to know about doing this? Will i need to download more drivers or repair the drivers or anything of this sort and will this setup even work?

first of all, if xp came came on your laptop, you cannot move it to another computer, you will have to purchase another copy if you want xp on your desktop.
second, you cannot just move winxp to another computer, you will have to reinstall drivers and such since its different hardware. |
