cant save file settings
when I arrange the icons in a folder, if I close that folder then open it again the files have moved back to their previous places. Can anyone tell me whats gone wrong please.

I'll use my documents as an example. Open it and click on View/arrange icons and set them to what you want.

As stated above, the view tab offers options. If you sort you icons without checking any of the Arrange Icons settings, they should stay as you left them when you reopen.

I moved the icons manualy and they seem to have stayed put. thanx for the help
