Installing SP1
Tried to install SP1 but it failed due to 2 files ? Now won't boot

psync-dl.man error 0xc0190036 and ifxcardm.dll error 0xc0000034

So tried a repair hoping to do a system restore before SP1 went on, but I guess it deletes system restore points...

Is there anything I can do to get it back ?

See you posted in several forums with no help. Have you tried hitting the F8 key to bring up menu then select Last Known Configuration?

Nope !

Will try it though. However, it is currently stuck on a System Restore (using Vista Disk) to the only point called Vista SP1 - not sure if that was BEFORE or AFTER the SP1

Stuck on the screen is "Finalising File Restore..." Been like that for 12 hours - guess that is not going to succeed ... ?

I also used chkdsk /r from a command prompt before that and loads of "found orphaned file...."
