graphics driver update

FF troubleshooting recommends I update my driver to 9.6 or over. Windows tells me it is up to date. Any ideas?

driver: NVIDIA GeForce 7800 GS - version 7.15.11. 5818

Hello detsi,

What is your Windows version (Start - right click Computer, left click Properties - 32 bit or 64)?

Curious - how did you arrive at the member name detsi?

where did you get the driver? Is your computer from a major manufacturer? Did the graphic card come with the computer? If so, you should only get the driver from the computers manufacturer.

My laptop is a Toshiba Sat Pro and remains as purchased from the retailer 5 years ago.

The latest version for your video and 32 bit Vista is version 307.83

http://www.nvidia.com/download/drive...px/57491/en-us

Windows does not always detect the latest version out there.

Thanks for the link, Murf. Unfortunately the installation could not be completed. Could not find compatible graphics hardware. I can supply info' if you can instruct me how to copy from clipboard via Speccy.

Thanks again for your reply, Murf. The Nvidia scan advised me to use option 1. I have come up with version 337.88 which I have downloaded but not yet installed. Do you think that this version would be ok for me?

Toshiba Sat Pro. Vista 32 bit. and I live in the UK.

Please can you explain the previous reply? It appears to be spam. I opened the email as it came from Cybertech and now I am concerned about infection.
