Emails

G'day Folk's.

In Yahoo I can click 'add folder'. Then select an email and click 'Move selected emails to a folder' and it is all stored out of the way, leaving space for current emails to apear on screen.

Can I do this with Gmail through Thunderbird?

I have just opened my Yahoo and Hotmail accounts in Thunderbird.
The current emails and storage folders arrived correctly. But.
Thunderbird doesn't seem to offer the ability for me to add new folders or send current emails to the folders.
Do I have to go through Firefox to tidy my email accounts?
