New Laptop acting odd...

Hi Experts...
I just got a Dell Laptop about 2 wks ago. It was running great until yesterday Im not sure if its just Vista(as I had heard it had issues at times) or if something is wrong. I was wondering if I could have someone take a look and let me know if its all good. I started to have trouble with the internet(ie: couldnt get some webpages to show and such) could have been just a freak thing but since it is so new I would rather be safe then sorry.
Thanks in advance
Wendy

For some reason I can get some webpages and some I cant. Weird! Any reason that might be happening? They were ones I had been able to visit yesterday

go to your system tools and run msie without addons. if that does not work, download firefox or some other browser run it and see if you have the same problems. This will help determine if it is a browser problem or something else.

start - all programs - accessories - system tools

what security programs and firewalls are you using? Try going into safemode with network and see if you can go to yahoo.

The computer came with Norton. So until the trial is over Im using that. Also... another odd thing.... I had all my website login info (usernames/passwords) automatically saved you know how it asks if you want windows/IE to remember them.... now all of a sudden when I go to these pages(IF I can get them to open..lol) Its asking me to login again. Like all the stored info is gone... not sure what is going on

when you restore the browser to default it deleted your saved passwords and such. You will have to retype everything saved. Try disableing nortons and see if you can go to those sites. If not, try my previous suggestion about going to safemode with netowrk.

Hummmm not sure if this is important or not but... when I closed this window just now I had a box saying.....

Internet Explorer Script Error
an error has occured in the script on this page.
Line 125
Char 3
Error 'dojo' is undefined
Code 0
URL https://app.sightspeed.com/current/s...atform=Windows Vista&platformsub=Service Pack

Then askes if I want to continue running scripts on this page.

I have no clue what this is or if I should say yes or no!
