Windows Vista Problem solving for the Windows Vista Operating System. Please remember to state which edition of Vista you are using - Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Ultimate etc. and whether you are using the 32-bit or 64-bit version if you know. |

boot loop in vista
while working on my computer it logged off and then restarted itself in a continuous loop. I had to get a tech out to fix the problem who found a virus. Is there anyway I could check this problem myself, find the cause and fix it to avoid having to call a tech again the next time? I use AVG virus protection, seemed to be working, but this one got past somehow.
Thanks, fla63 |

Possibly if you have a Vista Installation DVD and/or can boot into Safe Mode. If it happens again, post here and we will run through some checks with you.
