RAID Is it or Is it not?????

I am so glad to see all is well with everyone here today. Recently I have installed a couple of SATA II HDDs. They have me puzzled though in which I have two. Most we fellers do. BUT here is what is strange; the system reveals only one HDD? It tells you it has to have two or more to have a SATA II system in the configuration. So I make it happy and click OK. Now then you have to name these HDDs to make all is well but no way to name them when the system identifys one not two.
This is strange; no? A few inputs would be nice to resolve this issue; not only mine but a few of my learned colleagues in here as well. Has someone rubbed against anything like I have described? If so feel free to let us know. Thz!

For those in here that do not know; there has to be the SAME size two HDDs to run RAID.

RAID combines to HDD into a singular hard drive. And it all depends on the RAID number. RAID 0, 1, 2, 3, etc. And, they don't have to be the same size, they just have to be able to support raid.

Raid?

Are you sure? I am having a situation whereas I understood the "crl" and "I" keys had to be used to aquire the config HDD software (RAID) and it did work.
And by doing so I could switch from IDE to SATA II and NOT erase any or all the HDDS. I was able to change it once. BUT not for the second time. Woo-wee; I lost the format doing so. Or is what I had done OK for the first time ? I have confirmed from many sources that you DO have to have two SATA II drives. I am getting a window telling me if I try to use the other HDD I have inside I am not able to get access to it. Is there a website with pictures showing the process?

Thz!
