My bf has a hp pavilon laptop os is vista. He was playing a game and it the computer created a transparent image of what was on the screen. The image started jumping up down, it does this non stop now even if the only open is the desktop back ground. I have a desktop that did this i fixed by raising the refresh rate, will this pos it stuck at 60 as a fresh and wont change. Any ideas?
Tried calling HP they charged us 99.99 for one time help then said send the computer in which we would have to pay shipping both ways and cost of repair hp can go jump off a bridge paying over 1,100.00 for a computer seems like they would try to help

Welcome to CTH

Reboot and immediately start tapping the "F8" key, on the menu choose "Safe Mode"

Once in Safe Mode, right click on "My Computer" then to "Properties" then click on "Device Manager"

In Device Manager click on Display Adapters, right click on the entrie(s) and remove.

Now reboot, Windows will reinstall the video driver.
