Logitech USB Microphone

On my desktop, in Vista. I have plugged in a Logitech-USB-Microphone.
Vista recognized the plug-in. Said it had installed drivers and was ready for use.

If I try to record in 'Sound Recorder'.
Every happens correctly except that there is no on-screen-sound-reaction.
It lets me save the file and play it back, but no sound comes out.

I am also running Skype.
Skype can not find the microphone.

Does any-one have any ideas please?

Thank-you AnnMarie.

I did as you suggested and asked it to fix. It did fix it.

So now. All is up and running.

I just realized that I forgot to say that it is Windows-Vista-Ultimate.
I don't know what the problem was either.
It went in. Checked and fixed without telling me what it had done.

Ah well, at least we know that Fixit should work for anyone else with the same problem.
