Question Error: 0x8100000A Backup Failed

Hello Everyone,

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium on Dell Inspiron530 PC. The backup of files was always scheduled and performed on time. It backs up to Recovery HD. Lately it fails to backup files. I receive an error: The Backup did not complete successfully. The latest backup set cannot be found. Make sure it is accessible and it has not been deleted, otherwise create a new full backup (0x8100000A),

I checked the recovery Hard drive. It shows that out of 7.2 GB only 4 GB is used. What should I do? Dell comp. won't help me without paying them since my warranty has expired.

I appriciate everones suggestions.

Is the recovery HD you speak of the recovery partition of your computer. Manufacturers include this recovery partition to retain a "Factory image" of your computer. You can use that to take your computer back to how it came out of the box. If you created backups on there it could be a bad thing if you every wanted to go back to the factory image.
