MS Outlook 'Out of Office' Autoreply

In Outlook 2000, is it possible to set up the 'Out of Office' autoreply?

As a sole trader, I need to switch it on when I take annual leave.

But I am wondering whether it's possible as a 'one man band', or whether you need to be using some corporate mail server to use this feature.

If it is possible, would I need to leave the PC on and connected to the net all the while I was away?

Yes you need to be using an exchange server to get outlooks 'out of office' feature. Have you checked if your ISPs web mail offers an out of office feature. Several now provide that feature and you wouldn't need to leave your PC on for it to work.
