Need logs second eyed for XP Explorer issues

Hey oh. ok, I have this also aske in the XP forum but, here is my Hijackthis log, incase anyone see's something I am missing.

The lowdown is this. I cannot open a Windows Explorer windown and: delete, rightclick, use the menu FILE etc. ALso, any features available with the right click or FILE menu are a no go. I get the hour glass and windows explorer hangs instantly.

I do have an other issue too, with an unfound file. SZKG if I recall. Its apperently a part of STOPzilla but, I have never ever had stopzilla on my computer!

My log:

Hi KeeperOfTheGood. I cant see any malware issues in your log.

It may be a problem with a Context Menu Handler. Download and run the ShellExView utility according to the instructions in Method 2 here. To group all Context Menu handlers together, just click on Type underneath the Menu items. Try disabling the non-Microsoft items listed under Type -> Context Menu only (one at a time and then try rightclicking to see if you can identify if one is causing the problem). If there is anything you are not sure of ask first. Let us know if this helps.

Hey AnnMarie, I just wanted to say that the context menu was indeed the culprit! Took me a bit to look into it (house renovations and all) and everything is sorta back to its original XP brokenness YAY thank you XD hehe (now if you could tell me why it fails to recognize me as the administrator when the only account on the computer is mine and it is set as the administrator account that would be great LOLOL, been this way since I bought this comp 2 years ago >.< but that probably should be in the XP forum, hmm, maybe I will post that up there XD but I am offlined in 2 days so maybe some other time)

Thank you

Hi KeeperOfTheGood. I am glad that I was able to help. What handler caused the problem?

Regarding your XP issue, yes, the XP forum is where you should post your problem.

well, I don't know how it happened but, I have used the program Eraser.exe (from http://www.heidi.ie/) for 6 years or so (I have bought too many used drives with peoples personal finance info on them; when I want it gone, well ). A year or three ago, Eraser would fail of its own accord, this though is the first time it messed the menu up, those older versions simply stopped running. I did have about 1 gig of file corruptions back in March and lost a fair number of PSD files (mine usually average 350 megs, though I have a few that are over 1gig in size). Trouble is the chkdsk /f doesn't log what it does, it just does it >.< It could easily be something that simply continued to erode to the point of failing. I am wondering if I should un/re install all my programs just to refresh them.

So, I uninstalled and reinstalled Eraser and bobs yer uncle

For sure, when I am done my reno and am back online I will look into this Admin issue, its sorta a strange one LOL! At least I followed your links too and cleaned out 2 old versions of Acrobat and 5 or more versions (all the way back to 5) of Macromedia Flash from my system!!

Hehe Thank You, I was worried that I would have to get a new copy from the back rooms of XP (as Microsoft has had it pulled from store shelves)!
